St Michael’s is home for 36 adults with physical disabilities. Our 1870s house is surrounded by beautiful countryside at the foot of the Mendip Hills. We’re in the peaceful village of Axbridge in Somerset with shops, community hall, pubs and restaurants nearby. We’re also not far from the Somerset coast, Cheddar Gorge and Weston-super-Mare.

St Michael’s is home for 36 adults with physical disabilities. Our 1870s house is surrounded by beautiful countryside at the foot of the Mendip Hills. We’re in the peaceful village of Axbridge in Somerset with shops, community hall, pubs and restaurants nearby. We’re also not far from the Somerset coast, Cheddar Gorge and Weston-super-Mare. 


Is this the place for you?

This is a safe and friendly place to live, with high quality care and nursing. The team is dedicated and experienced, including in supporting people with multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and brain injuries. They will make sure your needs are understood and met – all with the greatest privacy and respect. We also offer physiotherapy to support your health and wellbeing.  


The people you’ll meet, the things you’ll do…

Live here and you’ll be supported to be independent, healthy and active. There’s something for everyone and our great team of staff and volunteers run individual and group activities, including karaoke evenings and reflexology. So whatever your interests, from keeping fit to being creative, there’s always something to get involved in.
