Accessibility at airports

Our chief executive Neil Heslop responds to Civil Aviation Authority’s report of airport accessibility.

Neil Heslop said:

‘It is encouraging that the CAA report airport accessibility is improving, with almost all airports now meeting minimum standards.

‘That said too many recent high-profile incidents have shown that air travel still presents significant barriers for disabled people, and several airports’ standards have gone backwards according to the CAA.

‘We welcome the CAA’s decision to use stricter targets to assess airports from next year, which will provide fresh impetus to efforts to improve practice.’
