Helping others get back on track

Emma is a resident at our Heatherley care home in Sussex. Following a long stay in hospital last year, Emma found herself feeling frightened of travelling by train, unsure how she would manage with her wheelchair.

But thanks to lots of hard work, and some help from a physiotherapist, Emma was able to rebuild the confidence she needed to get back out there. And Emma wants to help other wheelchair users too feel more confident too. So, she has videoed herself travelling by train, to show other wheelchair users how accessible and relatively easy it can be to do.
