Who we support

We support disabled adults of all ages to live their live an independent and fulfilled life.

Our team provides personalised support for each resident. We take time to understand the key things that matter to everyone living here.

We know that people’s disabilities or conditions are just one part of their lives, affecting people in different ways. In case it is useful for prospective residents to know, we assist people with a range of impairments. This includes:

  • People who have physical conditions
  • People who have physical + neurological conditions, such as cerebral palsy
  • People with acquired brain injuries (ABI)
  • People who have diabetes

What support we provide

We provide a range of support. When required, this can include: all forms of personal care, medication support and assistance with daily living.  There is a budget for residents to buy their own food. With mealtimes and drinks, we provide individual assistance as needed. We also help people to get out and about and access the local community.

Everyone receives a certain amount of one-to-one support. The precise amount of this support will depend on a person’s particular care package. Everyone has their own individual person-centred plan (PCP).

The one-to-one support can include help to build life skills such as money management or understanding bills. It can include support to achieve personal goals, such as attending educational courses (including at Bromley College).

We help people to attend all medical and health appointments. We liaise with external professionals in health and social care as required.

There are ceiling track hoists and other facilities available to support people with physical conditions.

What activities are available

People choose their own activities and our support workers assist as needed. People enjoy going to the gym and swimming people. They like to go out for meals in Bromley and beyond. They also enjoy trips to the nearby cinema and theatre as well as the Glades shopping centre. Springfield residents also like the chance to go to London, which is just a few miles from Bromley.
