Who we support
At Stadon Road our team provides high-quality, personalised support for every resident. We take time to understand the key things that matter to everyone living here.
Each resident has a person-centred plan (PCP) that can be updated as required. The PCP clearly sets out what is important to each individual.
We know that people’s conditions are just one part of their lives, affecting people in different ways. In case it is useful for prospective residents to know, we support people with a wide range of conditions including:
- multiple sclerosis (MS)
- cerebral palsy
- learning disabilities
- strokes
- blood-borne viruses (BBVs)
- schizophrenia
What support we provide
We provide support that boosts independence and confidence. We encourage every resident to set individual goals, if they want to do so. And we help them to achieve these goals. Our staff are passionate about supporting residents to get out and live life as they choose.
We can help with all personal care, mobility assistance and medication management as required. We work closely with outside healthcare professionals and support people to attend appointments. A chiropodist comes into the service to help with foot care.
What activities are available
People have a wide range of activities they enjoy, both inside and outside of our service.
People like going to Bradgate Park – a beautiful national nature reserve with great accessibility. They also like trips to the local Anstey park.
People also enjoy going to pubs and restaurants. Some residents like to go to their local football clubs, including Leicester City and Nottingham Forest.
At Stadon Road residents like to take part in group quizzes and baking sessions. We have a very popular morning exercise session, Wake and Shake, tailored to all abilities.
