The Regent

The Regent offers unique supported living for young disabled adults.  Our residents have a range of conditions including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, visual impairments, and MS. Our support encompasses daily living tasks, meal shopping, day services and varying levels of assistance, dynamically adjusted to individual needs. 

 

Our facilities include accommodation with 49 flats, a communal lounge, dining areas, kitchens, and accessible showers. While we provide personal care assistance, nursing tasks are handled by visiting professionals. Residents benefit from an array of assistive technologies such as interactive whiteboards and adapted TV systems. 

 

Located in Penrith, our care home offers a safety net with 24/7 support and an alarm system, reassuring families of their loved ones' well being. Our residents enjoy facilitated access to social activities and outings, fostering a vibrant and inclusive living environment.

Who we support

We offer comprehensive support for people with a range of disabilities and conditions, ensuring that each resident receives personalised care tailored to their specific needs. Our experienced team supports people with conditions including but not limited to: 

 

Learning Disabilities: We provide specialised support for individuals with learning disabilities, offering assistance with daily living tasks and communication. 

 

Autism: Our team is trained to provide compassionate care and support for individuals with autism, recognising and respecting their unique strengths, preferences, and sensory sensitivities. 

 

Physical Disabilities: Whether it's mobility assistance, adaptive equipment, or accessibility modifications, we offer comprehensive support for individuals with physical disabilities, enabling them to navigate their living environment comfortably and safely. 

 

Visual Impairments: Our team is equipped to assist individuals with visual impairments, offering orientation and mobility training, access to assistive technologies, and support with daily tasks to promote independence and enhance quality of life. 

 

Multiple Sclerosis (MS): We provide care and support for individuals living with MS, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs through personalised care plans, symptom management, and access to rehabilitation services.

What support we provide

At The Regent, we are dedicated to providing personalised care that meets the unique needs of each resident. Our compassionate team offers a range of services designed to promote independence, dignity, and well being. While we do not perform nursing tasks ourselves, we collaborate with qualified nursing professionals who visit regularly to address any medical needs. Here's a breakdown of the care we provide: 

Personal Care: Our staff assists residents with various aspects of personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting. We understand the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and strive to ensure that each resident feels comfortable and supported in their daily routines. 

 

Medication Management: We support residents in managing their medications, including reminders and assistance with administration as needed. Our staff team is trained to safely handle medications and ensure that residents receive their prescribed treatments on schedule. 

 

Supportive Services: We offer support with activities of daily living (ADLs) based on each resident's individual needs and abilities. This may include assistance with meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation to appointments or activities. 

 

Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: At The Regent we work closely with healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, to ensure that residents receive comprehensive support for their medical needs.
